Be bilingual, my friend

Here is a short article appearing in QUO magazine (January 2011):

"Bilingualism is good for the brain. Numerosas evidencias demuestran que hablar (y leer) asiduamente en two languages produce ciertas mejoras en nuestro desempeño mental, says an article appearing in the Journal Science. The question is: ¿podrían los bilingües desarrollar un sistema más eficiente para realizar tareas múltiples? Los resultados demuestran que sí: bilinguals do better at tests como los que combinan conducir y hablar por teléfono al mismo tiempo."

What do you think about the article?

  3. I think that hablar when you're conduciendo is very dangerous, isn't it? Pero aún así es útil porque puedes desarrollar tu brain until el punto que las tareas diarias sean easier! :)

A person who learn a languaje puede aprender more idiomas easier and if his brain adapt to that situación can adaptarse a más situations as housework!

If en el test ese fueron women quienes fueron entrevistadas, no me extraña,¿because no se supone that they son las únicas que can hacer dos acciones at the same time?

    Bye!

  5. I think that las personas que know two idiomas or three can hacer more things que las personas that only know un idioma.En todo caso ya is dificult to learn tantos idiomas,así es que is possible.

  6. I love your comments! You really got the idea. It is true that driving and speaking on the phone at the same time is dangerous, and we shouldn't do that if we don't want to get a fine, but I think it's just an example. The thing is that bilingual people find it easier to do two or more different tasks at the same time, but without mixing them all. Being bilingual doesn't mean speaking English and Español at the same time, but being able to speak each language at the right times.

  8. I think that las personas que speak varios language desarollan mejor the brain and si we are mejores en la multitarea it could be that drive une voiture and speak con el telephone no sea so much difficult et peligroso
