PROTECT OUR PLANET

Waste, and how we choose to handle it affects to our world's environment, that is YOUR environment, everything that sorrounds you, including the air, water, land, plants and man-made things. And since by now you probably know that you need a healthy environment for your own health and happiness, you can understand why effective waste management is so important to you and everyone else. The waste we create has to be carefully controlled to be sure that it does not harm your environment and your health.

But, what exactly is "waste"? Simply speaking, waste is anything discarded, rejected, abandoned or otherwise released in the environment in a manner (or quantity) that could have an impact on that environment.

How can you help?

You can help by learning about practicing THE THREE R's of waste management.

So, now investigate and tell me:

1. What are those 3 R's?

2. What do they consist of?

3. Make a list of waste products that can be recycled. Sort them by categories: organic, paper, glass...

  1. My answers:

    1. What are those 3 R's?

    2. What do they consist of?

    - Reduce: consist of the decrease of waste produced by a person.

    - Reuse: consist of the use of something more than once.

    - Recycle: is to produce useful products using the materials of waste.

    3. Make a list of waste products that can be recycled. Sort them by categories: organic, paper, glass...

Plastic: bag, bottle of water, the plastic which is used to keep together the juices, tetra paks...

And recycling those things you can make bags, wheels...

Organic: the rests of an apple, fish...

And recycling those things you can make fertilizers.

Glass: a bottle of beer and all of the things which you can buy in the supermarkets which are kept on glass.

With those things you can make more bottles.
